Together with the initiation of the Superocean collection in 1957, Breitling Superocean Gmt White Replica altered their attention on building a true diver’s watch that ensured a water resistance to 200 metres (660 feet), an impressive feat for that time. Initially designed to equip military and professional divers, the Superocean quickly garnered a great deal of fan following among leisure sailors too, which makes it a huge success. During the years, Breitling has enriched the original collection with much more efficient and better improved timepieces boasting a water resistance to depths of 500, 1500 as well as 2000 metres. Nowadays, Breitling is readily hailed as one of the very trusted and top watch brands creating masterpieces for land, skies and the sea.The Breitling Superocean II 44 is a wristwatch that has distinguished itself by its own advanced features and flawless functionality and readability. A true diver’s view, the Breitling Superocean II 44 is a performance timepiece that boasts of pristine technical accomplishments and stunning layout details. I understand all this is a great incentive which could force you to reach the shop and purchase one for yourself, however, buying a watch is a complex procedure which requires research, a basic comprehension of the purposes and an interest in the internal and external workings of a wristwatch. Primarily, it is critical for a diver’s watch to be resistant to numerous variables like water, pressure and even fever (it becomes chilly down beneath).
Last year Breitling Superocean Nz Replica came out with an entirely new Superocean watch. It featured a modern looking design in a smaller 42mm case. While a lot of people wanted a smaller Breitling diver, even more didn’t. So, just one year later, the Superocean II has been refreshed and enlarged. Now, for 2011, Breitling offers the Superocean 44. It comes in two versions: A three-hand, and a chronograph. There is also a GMT version but that comes in the 42mm wide case and will be discussed elsewhere.
Aside from being 44mm wide versus 42mm wide, the Superocean dial has been cleaned up and is now more legible. For comparison purposes you can check out the Breitling Superocean for 2010 here. The dial retains the core look of the watch that came out last year, but I think you’ll agree it is more legible. There is more space between the hour markers, and more use of applied baton hour markers versus the stylized Arabic numerals.
Once it comes to bracelet and strap options, Breitling enables you to think rather difficult when deciding what to pair your Superocean Heritage I or II with. This was the first modern luxury watch to popularize the net alloy “Milanese” bracelet, which continues to be among the choices that comes with this Superocean Heritage II. I truly want Breitling could figure out a way to remove the gap between the situation and in which metal bracelet attaches into the lugs. While I might be wrong, I feel that some type of end-link system may be welcome here at least for those of us who do not always enjoy the openings between the strap/bracelet along with also the case.Breitling additionally offers up at least one leather strap along with a couple of rubber strap selections for the Superocean Heritage II. One rubber strap mimics the appearance of the mesh alloy. It looks cheesy until you put it on, and then it looks interesting. For me personally the most significant part selecting the most appropriate strap to go with the Superocean Heritage II is in contemplating your own lifestyle. If you are going to use it more with formal apparel, the leather strap is a good choice. If you plan on becoming more outdoorsy and activity-oriented, then the rubber straps will probably serve you well. People who are looking for the most outward lifestyle statement needing a timepiece that will call attention should certainly think about the net metallic steel bracelet – that comes on Breitling’s very pleasant folding deployant buckle.
The case has some minor differences in terms of styling. Though the differences are nothing too major, upon side by side comparison you can see that these are indeed different pieces. The biggest change for the case is the water resistance. The old three-hand model was water-resistant to 1,500 meters while the new one goes down to 2,000 meters. The chronograph and GMT are water-resistant to 500 meters each.
The bezel style is slightly different as well. Still no lume but the rubberized bezel insert now has minute markers from o – 15. Like last year, both the chronograph and basic automatic versions will come in a slew of color options. I do love all the color options that Breitling makes available. They feel sporty and fun, adding a positive sense of character to the collection. Both watches will have Swiss automatic movements that are COSC Chronometer certified.
With the Superocean 44, the Superocean Heritage, and other Superocean models there are plenty of Superocean watches to choose from. The consumer has more choices than ever for Breitling’s venerable dive watch range and they are all available on the great rubber strap (with an awesome deployment), or a steel metal bracelet. These are some great looking timepieces and, in my opinion, are an improvement over the model offered last year. Look for these watches soon.
